Yes, you did warn me ... but who says I heed warnings I'm given?

I love the legend of King Arthur and everything having anything to do with Avalon.

Interesting. I don't know that much about it - they teach us standard history at my school.

I learned about it mainly through books like The Mists of Avalon ... great book, by the way
We never learned about it in History class cause Arthur is more of a legend than an actual person. No one knows if he even existed.

it's quite lengthy, but it gives the story of Arthur from his half-sister's perspective (half-sister being Morgan Le Fay)

yes arthur did exist and there is hostorical proof to support it. hence, the release of the movie king arthur. though slightly elaborated upon, the facts in the movie are ctally quite sound.
and pleasure to meet you isilwen. I'm the resident mad scottish person and also generally have an answer for verything and apparantly an oversized ego. I personally disagree. But anyway, form your own opinion. As i said, lovely to meet you and you are you on this slendid and rather dark night? (though afternoon in the US of A)

I am fairly well. It's quite a cold sunny afternoon here, otherwise I might have decided against being online.
As for Arthur, every book I have ever read has said that Arthur may have been made up, though there is proof that someone like him did actually exist. One theory is that he was a Roman general that the British idolized, another is that he was a king or war hero in the region, and yet another version says that he was fictitious altogether and made up so the people would have someone to look up to.

I'd heard of the war hero theory. He's probably a real man wrapped in legends.

Most likely. I believe he was a real person, but then again, I also believe in dragons and unicorns ...

you do sound like a know-it-all ... but then again, that's what everyone in high school thought of me too, so I have nothing against it.

Hi isilwen.
Just had this crazy random urge to stop being antisocial for bit and say hi or something. Your name's cool?
