Crent was taken aback. No one had ever spoken to him like that. "How dare you talk to a prince like that! And a woman at that! I tried to save your life, and you repay me by screaming at me? That'll teach me not to rescue from a castle at the top of a mountain ever again." He folded his arms, his head throbbing with a new thread of hot pain that might also be guilt.
"You shouldn't be talking to Sapphire like that," Ian said quietly, reaching to the sword at his belt.
Crent closed his eyes, feeling sweat drift from his face like sweat. "Ian, she likes you better than she does I. Even though it seems nature would have paired myself and the princess, it seems the dame needs to go against it all and love you. It would have been so much simpler." This calm receded, and then came back the anger, the jealousy. Ian was stealing his power. "Is this what Hunter wanted, do you think, when he sent Ian to me to save you? He meant for ME to bring you back!" Crent rasped.

"Crent, calm down. You'll injure yourself more. And don't accuse Adreli ever again. You don't know her properly. I don't care if your a prince. That means nothing here. And if you chose to bite back in that manner, I am a princess, on equal terms with you. who says I'll ever even want you to help me if I ever get captured again? And I like Ian better because he is actually nice and dosen't judge the book by it's cover. Shape up a bit and I might consider you a friend!" No matter how mad she was, she had never yelled at somebody. She had only been yelled at.
She felt hot tears well up in here eyes, as she knelt next to Crent again, "here." was all she whispered, trying to hold them inside as she scraped up her magic to heal Crent.
She placed her hands on his chest,a nd blue sparks flew from her fingers as she healed him. It was a quick process, and was done shortly. She could feel the pressure of the tears now. She blinked rapidly to keep them in. No luck. One escaped, and fell onto Crent's cheek as she stood to run from the room.

Crent lay, still a little woozy. Everything was blue. He felt wetness on his cheek ... had he been crying? Apparently so. He sat up. Adreli was still here, and Ian was talking with her, but there was no Sapphire. He wondered for a minute if the argument had only been a dream.
Finding the strength, he stood and said, "Where did Sapphire go?"
Ian narrowed his eyes. "She just healed you. Give her some time."

Saph wandered the halls. She knew she was lost, but she didn't care. She felt her energy run low, and sat aganst one of the crumbling stone arches. Tears slid down her face, she had just yelled at somebody. And she hardly knew him. After being yelled at for so many years, she had vowed to never yell at a single soul, no matter how bad. And yet, she had broken that promise with one of the first people she had met. A prince even. One who expected her to fall head over heels by just seeing him. But love wasn't that easy, her parents never got along with anything, but they ruled the country together. Equally. The poor girl that Crent would make queen would probably not run anything while he did it all. Saph didn't believe in that either. Love wasn't that easy. Definately not that easy.
Her thin and now delicate body shook as she sobbed, trying to be quiet.

"Did we just argue?" Crent asked.
Ian raised an eyebrow. "Yes. That's why she ran away crying."
"Oh." He scratched his head. "I thought I was only dreaming."

Saph had curled herself up into a little ball, resting her forehead on her kneecaps as she cried. It might take awhile for her to recompose herself, and she knew that. It would have been easier with her magical energy to calm herself, but she had given all but the bare minimum to Crent to heal him.

"You thought you were dreaming?" Ian asked, disgusted. "And you acted like it was only a dream, no doubt."
Crent squinted. "A prince always acts correct. A prince cannot act incorrect. It's impossible." He was very confused.

Saph fel herself stand up. Something was drawing her deeper into the castle. She let her feet lead her, they seemed to know where they were going. She lost track of all the halls and doors she went through. She came up to a door that was thicker than the rest, and her feet stopped.
She raised a hand to the door, and gently opened it a crack.

"And to a princess." Crent said. He shook his head. Ian looked at him.
"Don't move so quickly," Ian said. "You're still weak."

Voices met Saph's ears. Her eyes went wide with shock.
"Her parents are paying those two nicely to kill her. Trap her in a castle, feed her less and less food everyday. Brillant plan. Too bad she is too bold for her own good or I would have let her go by now. She is beautiful, and would make a good dark elf queen." one of the dark figures chuckled.
"Yeah, I wonder why she dosen't try to escape herself, maybe if she knew our dark elf army was training underground here would she try to run. We'll eventually kill that dragon that is protecting her." the other figure replied.
Saph closed the door quickly, but quietly. Her eyes were still wide, and her hand was over her mouth that was wide open. She ran, not sure where she was going. But she knew she had to find the others and they had to get out of there.

Crent was about to make another sly comment but was stopped as he heard feet smacking down the corridor. He turned to see Sapphire; she was running, her face pale and her mouth open in a helpless, silent scream.
Ian rushed to her. "What is it?" he asked.

Saph just stared for a few moments more. She couldn't speak. her mouth opened and closed a few times, but she uttered not a sound.
"M-my parents tried to kill me. And there's a dark elf army being trained right under our feet." She finally shakily said, falling to her knees. This was almost more than she could take.

Ian touched her arm and sank down to her level. He didn't know what to say. "What happened?! They tried to kill you just now? I thought they were in Nextirira ... ?"

Saph was still startled by the news, and didn't man to lash out, but she did anyway, "No! They hired those men to try and slowly starve me! I should have guessed by now!"
She was crying again. everything was happening at a pace she was not comfortable with.

"What, did you ever do anything to warrant it?" Ian asked.
Crent shouted out, "You're not even a princess, are you!"
