Original thread. What is the muse group story? It is just a premeditated joint story about our muses. Can I join? Sure, but always please read through the threads and ask around so you know exactly what's going on. What if I don't have a muse? Meet your muse or don't join. What's the story about? This has yet to be really decided. What if I don't have time to keep up with the story constantly? Don't worry; that's bound to happen with all of us. Just try not to make your character a key point in a part of the plot without tying up loose ends pretty quickly, and ask an active member of the story if anything's new or changed before jumping back in. Hopefully we can write it so that no one feels obligated to post every two seconds. Got another question? Post here, and I'll add it to the FAQ.

Now, do the muses get to interact with each other? Like, are they on this parellel plane where only muses can go, or can they only speak to each other when their charges are online together or what?

Well, I don't know about all the other muses, but mine stays in the basement all the time, and anyone can talk to her if they can get close enough without falling into a booby trap or something.

Ok ... but is this basement someplace in the physical world, or someplace that only the muses can go to?

No, it's a physical place in the guild. . . Though I don't recommend you go there. Unhappy ghosts of oldie moldie members, discarded story ideas out for revenge, abandoned and/or dangerous muses, and many other extremely terrifying things lurk down there. . .

*wishes he hadn't been told all that stuff, because he scares easily*
Is there a list of the different settings in the story, other than the basement, should in case someone (not naming names) doesn't want to go anywhere near the basement?

Well, the guild has many sectors. There's the lobby, each individual board and thread, the basement, the attic (a toned down version of the basement), a room for each member, and many other. . . miscellaneous places that have yet to be discovered by most of the general public. ;D

Ok. We have some plot points, we have some characters, we have some settings. When do we get started?

I think we should wait just a little longer, just in case any last minute people want to post any ideas before we begin and get into it.

I've never done a group story before, so please bear with my noob question, but how exactly is the writing shared? Do you go on by a specific order, or can anyone just jump in?

We usually try to stay in a general order, but you can always skip your turn or go ahead of someone or whatever you want.

Yeah, I was wondering that too. I was wondering if the charges would actually come into the guild, or if the muses would leave the guild when their charges need inspiration, or what exactly.

Not necessarily, but chances are, you're going to at least be mentioned. Especially if we use a plot that involves a charge or all the charges.
