I figured this could be a cool thread to share what your favorite stories, poems, songs, plays, etc. currently are from your fellow guild members. Just a way of maybe nudging other people to works that aren't getting the accolades they deserve. Or you could just do a shameless plug. Either way works. What I really like right now is Voices - Just a Crush, by Duskglimmer. I often find that the descriptive elements of many of the stories I've read her so far (including my own) come off as weak or forced, and they kind of hinder the reading experience. Just a Crush avoids making this common mistake by eliminating the descriptive elements altogether and just dives right into the plot, and let the actions of the characters move the story forward. It's a great piece, and I think you'd enjoy it. Edit: Oh, and if you're anything like me, you're probably too lazy to go looking for it, so here's the link: ywg2.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=fiction&action=display&thread=1154467712&page=1

I concur with Ash's feelings about the poem. You've got to read it. I also think that Plotseekers is a maddeningly puzzling and undeniably awesome story with a promising start, writing by Cy, of course (who has a penchant for the head-scratchingly enigmatic, as you'll clearly find out if you read any of her work). Check it out here: ywg2.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=fiction&action=display&thread=1154119646

Scarecrow's poetry? You can't mean me, seeing as how I haven't written any poetry for this site, lmao. Anyway, you MUST, MUST, MUST read The Light in Your Eyes by callidascriptor. It's an apparently historically correct fanfiction about the events of The Patriot in which Catriona Johanson, Cat as she's known, finds herself in the past. While there are some gaping plot holes, the dialogue is beyond awesome, and the characters are so memorable and fierce. Read it right now! ywg2.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=fanfics&action=display&thread=1154984361&page=2

I absolutely love my play "The Countess and the Volvic" in the plays subforum, "The Story of King Lion and his Girlfriend Princess Okapi" in the fiction subforum, and my three poems "The 40 Days of Lent", "The Wist", and "The Way". I highly recommend you read and review them.

Plugging your own work? I don't think that's what the thread is about.

I'm not saying he shouldn't flaunt it if he's got it. I'm saying that perhaps flaunting it in a thread that seems to be about recommending the under-appreciated works of your peers is a little self-serving, if you don't mind me saying. Especially when you consider the fact that there is already a thread to talk about what you're currently writing. In which he's already posted. But I'm being a little melodramatic. Let's just forget I said anything.

No not really. His Holiness (my forced nickname for him... : is like that. All the time. Which 'adds' to his character I guess ;D And he will never change
