I'm about to start "The Scarlet Letter". We're supposed to read it in English class this year, and I hear it's a kind of hard read, so I wanted to go through it once and get a sort of head start. *nods* Good luck. We had to read that this year too, and it can get pretty confusing. It's good that you're trying to get ahead like that. *nods* I'm reading the Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury.

I am still reading 1985, but I lost my copy of it, so yeah. I was reading this one book by william faulkner but it was sssoooooooooooooo confusing. Seriously, it was worse than accidentally reading a whole volume of inuyasha backwards. (I've done that before) I'm still reading great expectations too, I tend to procrastinate on things I really DONT wanna read. I think I might read Salems Lot again though, now THAt book kicked... uhh, corncob? -narrowly avoiding profanity- ahahahah!

I haven't started yet, actually. I just finished Armadillo today, and instead of starting The Count of Monte Cristo as I'd planned, I saw the book version of The Phantom of the Opera, and I just couldn't resist (though all I've read so far is the foreword). I, with my sparkling wit, managed to leave my brand new copy of this on the bus. Like a couple of you I'm reading Catcher in the Rye and I have to agree Holden is very relatable. I'm also half-reading 1984 right now and although I should most certainly be sleeping now I will go and read one of the two

The Phantom novel is a masterpiece. It brings out a depth and passion in the characters that the movie/musical simply couldn't capture. You will love it.

...To Kill a Mockingbird is a great book. Have you ever seen the movie "Failure to Launch"? It has an absolutly hilarious seen that references To Kill a Mockingbird.

IT's just a really brief scene, but it's still really funny. It is a good movie overall, I recommend it.
