I'll say Fantasy, though my true love is a mix of F/SF.

Really? No offense, but the snippet of your work I read, the one 'Criticise please.', was so much what I think of as the opposide of F/SF; romance. However, someone once told me that romance has more in common, referring to the psychology of the readers, with fantasy than with anything else. Both Middle Earth and a successful romance are impossible, I guess. (LOL.) They could be both considered wish-fulfillment.
However, a vastly different sort of person will go for each kind of wish.

Urban Fantasy.
: )
But that's only because that's what I've been reading lately.
Subgenre of Fantasy, I know.
Technicality. Details.
Eh.
Still.
Holly Black? Yes. Buffy? (Fanfics : ) )
Then, after that it would have to be SciFi, because I'm a geek like that.
&& then super old, Renaissance type stuff, like Candide. Candide was brill.

Gotta go with the Fantasy, not only because it totally rules, but also because it is the polar opposite of Science Fiction.
Anyone else who votes for Science Fiction is a dead man!

Well, I am in fact, a woman. Does that make me a dead woman, if I change my vote to Sci-fi?
What do you have against Sci-fi, anyways?

I am currently writing a Sci-fi... And unlike Derek, I am male, so I feel I may be in more danger than her.

Ha ha, I could be in just as much danger, though, with a bit of surgery.

That is rather brave of you, but I think I'd better just handle the danger alone. Anyway, being a girl must be loads of fun. I'm not gay, but I have more friends that are girls than that are guys.

Science fiction is so ... plausible. Because everything is rooted in science, it all has to be plausible and logical. With fantasy everything just ... is, sometimes for no particular reason at all. Just random and free, just the way I like it. I'm a hippie at heart.
Wait, did you just imply that it is natural for gay people to have more girl friends than guy friends? what, are we too promiscuous to have platonic relationships with guys?
*waits for Den to squirm and backpedal amusedly*

As I have said previously, I have a couple friends with same sex attractions, and they often (not always) can be more comfortable around the opposite sex than straight heterosexual people because they associate themselves with the opposite sex more.
So, because I have so many female friends, it has been hinted by others that I am gay.
I do not know why this is exactly, just that it is what I have seen and heard. Correct me if I am wrong. You may be one of the exceptions to what I have seen.
