The old ones were classic! The new ones had good story too, but seemed to be more about the effects thatn anything. Like R2-D2. He can fly in Ep. II, but not in Ep. VI? What's with that?! That was bad continuity.

Star Wars is awesome through and through, and that is my opinion. I tend to like the books better than the movies though, especially the New Jedi Order.

*blinks* There were books? As you can tell, I'm totally not a SW geek (I've never even seen an entire movie from the series).

have you ever watched the originals? especially 1,2,3. rather funny! Erm...which? Give the titles? (it's so annoying confusing talking about them as episode numbers or real-world chronology numbers... (eps. 1 2 3 4 5 6 = real world continuity 4 5 6 1 2 3. ) There are SO MANY Star Wars books, ranging in quality. I'm not too fond of NJO, though it was fun to get into, ( the end rocked). The Y. Vong were a sweet creation and were creepy. I tend not to like any of the books of the timeline when Luke is married...I mean because of that. And because there needs to be a happy ever after some time. The publishers are stretching the Plot for revenue...BOYCOTT, MY GEEKS! Anyway, my favorite books...the Jedi Academy series and I, Jedi, Shadows of the Empire, Shadowhunter, the MedStar pair...also the novelization of RotJ was AMAZING. *glomps Matt Stover* My favorite movies are the old trilogy, especially the original ('Star Wars' or 'A New Hope') and Return of the Jedi. Yeah, the new ones... TPM was slightly childish, (*coughJarJarcough*) but I liked the music, the story as it began to arc, and the fighting. (*glomps Darth Maul*). I saw this one....after AotC and then the originals... AotC got me into it cause I saw it in the theatre, and then my friend, aghast at my lack of knowledge, showed me the originals and has rued it since. Yeah, continuity problems...heh. Of course there would be though with such a big project. Why did R2 fry that battle droid in RotS and then get captured by Jawas? Cause he's a nice guy, of course. RotS was better than the other prequels though. AoTC now is at the bottom of my list...

It was TPM that got me into it - I saw it at the cinema. Then I saw the originals. Then I didn't stop talking about it. ;D

I've been rewatching the films recently. My fave of the new ones is Revenge of the Sith and my fave of the oldies is The Empire Strikes Back.
Hang on - my faves are the movies where the bad guys win?! Ah, jeez . . .
