Yes, I have read the book. It puts Erik in a rather different light, hehe! Although I don't think that another character has cried more in one book than Raoul did . . .

Older books are like that... people are more likely to show emotions. It's pretty funny sometimes.

lol. I read a lot of them, just because my dad loves them and hands them off to me and I fall in love with them too. I'm not much into the chick flicks (i.e. Jane Austen's books), though. I like the old adventure books. The Count of Monte Cristo is particularly good. As is Captain Blood and The Sea Hawk.
