why thank you den.
to answer the question of what a neep is, a neep is a turnip. it has a hard purple outer skin and is rather difficult to eat raw.
swede is a much smaller root vegetable and is much sweeter in taste. it is also much softer than a turnip.
The two are not the same *nods*

Hmmm interesting point you have there but, as usual , I'm afraid I can't agree with it entirely. Why? Well pretty much because in England everything is swapped around. A swede is the orange-yellow (flesh) vegetable eaten with Haggis whereas a turnip is the smaller white one, so as you can imagine it get's rather confusing in my house with a swede being turnip to my Dad and a turnip being a swede. It's very odd, I admit, but so depending on where you come from a swede is indeed a turnip. Strange, huh?

Neep. I love that word. But I detest Swede. How can one truly taste the difference if you.... taste them? Apart from sweetness ;D

swede is of a smoother consistency i feel. and it is sweeter and a different colour lol. It's like sweet potatoes and regular ones and blue potatoes.

Do people often get together as couples through this site? That's sort of odd to me.
