Unlike most normal students, I actually LIKE writing essays and stuff. Because I always write them with sarcasam. Even if it's for the ACTs or something. They're always writen with that special dash of Frostyness.

My Chaucer essays certainly do. Then again, it IS the very bawdy Miller's Tale, so I have an excuse. ;D

Most of that poem has sexual references, so I can be sarcastic with them.

Oh. cool. *feigns smile and thumbs-up* I still haven't read the poem though.
So... is it true that the peace sign means FU in Britain?

If the fingers are the other way round (as in, showing the back of the hand). Originated when we used to fight the Frech, I believe. They used to cut those two fingers off of any archers that they captured so they they couldn't hook a bow, so the two-fingered sign is like a 'Haha, got mine!' sign, in a way. Sorry for boring you.

No, that's not boring at all! That's awesome! Cool... yeah I had a friend tell me that at school and I figured I'd confirm it with someone who actually lived there.

Well, I guess it must be true then, lol. Another 'interesting' fact is a reason why England doesn't have high buildings while America does. The USA has a base of solid rock, so you can simply build on it and guarantee support. Over here, we have a clay base - we have to dig down as far as we build up to make it stable.

So... for the few tall buildings you do have, there are like... 4 story basements?
Or... is that a no-go?

No-go. It's probably all just foundation. I don't really know.

It's still interesting.
So I take it the middle finger means the same thing there as it does here?

Yep, the exact same. And the peace sign too.

Mkay. Yeah, the peace sign means the same thing both front and back... except in NYC. I think backwards, it's a gang sign or something. IDK.
