I'm a Smart geek almost completely through, and quite the bit of a PB as well. I suppose I'm also slightly mock-goth seeing as most of my friends have a gothic streak to them somehow or another.

Hmmn two of my friends are "emo", I don't belive in this labeling crud it just seems to divide people and keep them from associating with one another based on thier clothing.

To answer your question, eb, most of the people that listen to ska are punks or theatre junkies.
I don't know what it's like in your school Lucille, but just because you're in a specific group doesn't mean that you're frobidden to hang out with people from others. Like, I have friends from all four that I hang out with daily.

most of my school is either goth or prep/jock, the only geeks are in band, but most of us in there aren't true geeks. But we are basically one big family

Question for the British: Does it suck living on a tiny island? I mean... you're like one of the biggest nations in the world... and you only have so many miles (kilometers) of land area.

Our island isn't THAT small . . . OK, yeah, we live on a titchy island, but there's so much history here that there's both prestige and something to do on a daily basis. For a tiny island, it's pretty diverse in both culture and places - just compare Yorkshire to London.

Yeah. I guessed as much. About the history, I mean. People here in the US make a big stink when something celebrates it's 100th aneversary. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!", you say. Some of your structures are thousands... millions, even? All the stuff that's over a thousand years old here was prompty destroyed by white settlers. It sucks.

Stonehenge is near us Depends on who you talk to (in the UK at least). A load of chavs all say that they hate America and then go listen to American music etc but more sensible people just think of you guys as another country - not "we hate you, you are evil" but not "we love you, you're our heros" (although a lot people want the UK to distance itself from the US - probably due to Blair being so close to Bush). Myself, I quite like (most of) the Americans I've met / talked to on the intertubes (such as you lot), although if I'm near my friend Sam (who lived in Kansas for most of his life) I must make jokes about how there is no electricity in Kansas etc. And it's just occurred to me that I have used 'etc' more that I should but I'm tired and it's slowly getting harder to type properly and think of new words.
