did i say that those composers had no soul? I think not. Quite the opposite. But even the whole modern soul genre is written with soul john. The majority of modern music has soul in that and it is too bad on you if you cannot hear or feel it. I hate to say it, but you would not make a very good musician. Musicians have to be able to appreciate, if not like, all different kinds of music. They have to be able to feel what goes on in a piece. Feel what the composer was feeling or thinking when he notated or wrote this part. You have to be able to lose yourself in the music and listen to each little detial in it, for each detail is important to the piece. I will admit there are pieces in the charts these days that it is rather difficult to do so with, but you certainly cannot class all "modern" music as crap.
