Just a random piece of a story I thought up that I just couldn't build a story around.

Chapter One
Grounded
She uttered a guttural grunt as Clive’s foot slammed into her chest like a thousand sledgehammers. The force of the blow smashed her into the now deteriorating wall behind her, showering her in concrete crumbs. Even as she did so, Clive had burst forward to continue his assault, and a furious fist found her stomach, again and again and again. She finally caught his fist in her left hand and shoved it back, pushing away from the wall and swinging a hard right at the same time. He parried the blow almost effortlessly with a flick of his free hand, and the flat of his right foot again dug between her breasts like an errant locomotive, and again sent her flailing into the wall behind her. Her hair a now a tangled mask on her face, Adrian swung her fists blindly and desperately twice more before the direct force of the third kick shattered the wall behind her. The wind resistance swept the hair from hair face as she began to fall those 30-plus stories, and as she whirled Adrian saw Clive leap after her, his face the stony, determined glare of the perennial chaser. Forcing herself to gain control, she willed herself to focus what power she had left on her assailant, and she screamed as she mentally gripped Clive by the head and flung him building-ward. She had just enough time to see him careen through a window and bust through floor after floor in devastating impact before she herself heavily torpedoed into the sidewalk below back first with an almighty crash.
Her mind dulled by the crushing force of the fall, Adrian took a few seconds to come to grips with her all-consuming aches and the exclamations, gasps and fervent murmurs of the people nearby. As she slowly sat up and groaned, she felt a sharp pain at the back of her skull. She winced as she touched it, and she knew it was a telltale sign she’d been hurt as the hand came back gooey. It was exhausting to just open her eyes only to confirm that she was indeed bleeding. She groaned painfully again as the glare of the midday sun overly shone into her now sensitive baby blues. So … they could be hurt after all.
“Oh my god, is she okay?”
“Are you alright?”
The concerned voices brought her back down to earth, and Adrian realized that she had opportunity now. Looking up, she saw no sign of Clive yet, and without further hesitation hoisted herself up unsteadily onto her feet to the renewed shock and amazement in the voices of the onlookers. She slowly but purposefully got out of sight, running down the sidewalk eastward as fast as her legs would take her.
Clive had blasted through four stories before he could summon his faculties to his aid. He quickly lightened himself, and as a result hit the fifth floor powerfully but without crashing through it, bringing his descent to a stop. He muttered a curse silently about that crafty bitch and immediately leapt to his feet, running over to the window on the other side of the building and thrusting his head out the window. He swore under his breath again as he saw no sign of Adrian other than the crevice she’d made on the path amid the hubbub of the accumulating crowd below. Following the gazes of the people who weren’t preoccupied with the spot she’d landed or building she’d fallen from, Clive surmised that she’d fled down Nargusta Avenue. Not wanting to waste another second, he leapt from the window as a woman who’d been looking up from where Adrian fell screamed, and the throng made a mad rush to avoid the spot to which he was plummeting. Clive concentrated, focusing yet again on making himself lighter, and he spun his body around, pointing his feet to the ground to brace for impact. He felt his power working, and the reduced gravitation pull coupled with the wind resistance begun to significantly slow him down. He bent his knees as his feet hit the ground, and Clive gracefully, softly landed on the ground after a fifteen story fall like a feather. Paying no attention to the astounded people around him, he made like a cheetah after Adrian down Nargusta Avenue.
