How would you define each of the following words? (Feel free to only do a few, if that's what you want.)
~Life ~Hope ~Truth ~Trust ~Faith ~Pride ~Love ~Lust ~Pain ~Hate ~Lies ~Guilt ~Laugh ~Cry ~Live ~Die
I know most are blatantly obvious, but I still would like to hear your personal definitions of them. Yes, it is for a story, and thanks in advance.

~Life - Something that technically we all have, but so few of us actually choose to live. Physically, it's one of the few things that you can throw away and never be able to retrieve. Emotionally, you can die a million times and find life again.
~Hope - the belief that something better has the ability to come, no matter the circumstances.
~Truth - One thing in life that is unchangeable. The whole world can tell you something's true, but the masses do not dictate truth and they can all be wrong.
~Trust - One of the hardest things to get and the easiest thing to lose.
~Faith - Quote: "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
~Pride - An over developed sense of self-sufficency
~Love - Caring about a person so much, that you would lay down your own life (physically or emotionally) to protect them (from themselves, an outside influence or even yourself).
~Lust - Wanting something (a person or a thing) so badly that all you consider is finding a way to have it. You don't think about what may happen after you own it, or what you might hurt along the way, you just want it.
~Pain - Necessary. There is no growth without pain. There is no strength without past pain. There is no useless pain. There are some things you wish you didn't have to live through, but at the end, every thing you went through will have shaped you into who you are.
~Hate - Wanting nothing to do with something or someone. Wanting it gone, gotten rid of and wanting never to have to deal with it again. If you could erase it, you would.
~Lies - damaging. Anything that isn't truth. One of the biggest culprits for lost trust.
~Guilt - knowing that you did something wrong (or maybe just thinking that you did) and not being able to let it go.
~Laugh - your reaction to when someone just surprised you with something funny.
~Cry - your reaction to anything that's simply overwhelming.
~Live - taking advantage of every moment.
~Die - leaving one thing behind and moving on to something else.

~Life: an often uncherished gift that allows everyone to experience all of the following feelings ~Hope: feeling that things might get better in the future, even if they won't, and feeling this way with full faith and little need for proof ~Truth: the center and core of something without masks or lenses in front of it ~Trust: having faith in someone without need of constant proof ~Faith: trusting and having hope in something without asking for actions or words to validate it ~Pride: not being scared to feel good about something about yourself ~Love: caring about someone much more than yourself and being willing to sacrifice anything or almost anything for his/her well-being ~Lust: wanting something so much that you don't care about the consequences of getting/having it ~Pain: a negative-feeling sacrifice that can bring good ~Hate: truly not caring about the well-being of someone/something and possibly wishing for negative things to happen to him/her/it ~Lies: a preventable action that could take away someone's hope, trust, faith, love and even a bit of life that he/she shared with you ~Guilt: pain brought onto a wrong-doer for causing someone else pain ~Laugh: a pure expression of happiness or amusement ~Cry: a way to express and get through pain ~Live: to take full advantage of the opportunity to be on Earth ~Die: an end to something that can often bring and end or new beginning to something else

And thank you Angie, too. Both of you gave definitions that I think are perfect for what I need.
