I don't suppose anyone knows anything?
All I can find are what the Catholic Church has put out on them, and paraphrases of that.
Such as:
"They rape you in your sleep! You will be impure and immoral and if you have their babies you will be sentenced to hades for all of eternity! No sex dreams! No sex anything! Kill demons! We say so! Truth!"
Entirely punctuated with exclamation points.
No joke.
So. Any tiny little detail will be appreciated, though I'm mostly gonna make up what they are anyways.
Thanks!

Lol, I got all that stuff, denithar, geez. It's still stuff put out by the Catholic church after they took over and transformed all of the Pagan gods into roughly satan.
So. Thanks, though. Even for the attack on my ego? Of course I know how to use google!
On another note...
the answer to life, the universe, and everything <--- copy and paste that into google. : ) THAT made me happy. love the calculator function.
&& then, go to google maps and look up directions from New York, New York, to Paris, France. Then read line 21. For laughs.
End.

My dear fellow, I do not know why you keep speaking of some "Catholic church dominance of the media" idea, but Barbara G. Walker, the author of the third article down, is a proclaimed atheist, and Wikipedia, while certainly not the most reliable source, is quite far from being controlled by Catholics. The other sources I can't speak for as I know nothing about their authors, but clearly it is not all "stuff put out by the Catholic church after they took over and transformed all of the Pagan gods into roughly atan." Seriously, I'm not a Catholic, but I try to force people to be truthful when they attack anything. If you had said that the Catholic church is often stuck up, exclusive, and that their church services are believed by many, including some Christians, to be empty of any life (or better yet explained specifically why you dislike the Catholic church), then I could have agreed with you. However, as my signature says "I prefer clarity (meaning truth) to agreement."
You now probably cannot get over the fact that I contradicted you. This seems to be a common trait of humanity not to forgive those who correct us. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jesus of Nazareth, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, were all killed for telling us we are wrong. All this to say, consider letting your pride take the hit and you may find it not actually an insult.
On a more fun note, thanks for that Google map direction. And I find Douglas Adams a hilarious man, with a touch of brilliance, so apparently we can agree on this.

I like to be contradicted. I like to argue. So, no hard feelings.
I'd like to point out that it's not an attack, per se, but more me being entirely frustrated that I can't find anything that doesn't directly adhere to Catholic beliefs on the subject.
While this Barbara Walker is, in fact, a proclaimed athiest, i highly doubt that all of her sources are as well. And I also doubt that she personally went and found herself an incubus to get her information. So. No help there.
the terms "stuck-up" and "exclusive" are, in fact, opinions. So if you want to be truthful, you might want to stay away from them : )
Oh. And I'm not a fellow. : )

I think I like you. And sorry for the fellow comment, but you must admit that I did not have things in my favor for guessing. Derek sounds more male than female. Since you took the criticism so nicely I went and searched a bit more. You might be interested in one article I found. www.wwrn.org/article.php?idd=16838&sec=39&con=58This is a demon that seems rather similair to the incubi but called "Popo Bawa" and is "found" in Africa: "We heard a rustling on the roof," recalls Asha Saleh, in her late 50s, in Machomanne village near Pemba's main town of Chake Chake. "I felt someone fondling me. I felt very cold. I felt weak," she said, recalling the attack some 35 years ago. ********* Chake Chake, Tanzania - Mohammed Juma starts to sweat and fidget as he recalls his rape by Popo Bawa, the most feared spirit-monster of the Zanzibar spice islands. "We believe reading the Koran is our only defense, nothing else," says the 41-year-old driver and father of four. "But Popo Bawa is real, and well prepared." ********* "I couldn't call out for help to my husband who was lying asleep beside me. Popo Bawa is strong: He really presses down on you. And it took such a long time: One hour! Eventually I lost consciousness. And I was one of many who were attacked."
