i cnt remember if I posted this- but hey To live like me Means to have more than you need Means that you have food on your plate Energy in your body Clothes on your back Roof over your head And a place where you Can lay your head at night To live like me Means to know what it’s like to be hated Means to know what’s like to be left To be kicked when your beaten To be spat at when wet To be called cruel names As the tears coarse down your face To live like me Means that you do not know your self Means you do not know others You do not know who to trust Who to turn to Who can be told About the nightmares that haunt you To live like me Means you forget all reason to life Means you do not care what happens You’re recklass You’re careless You couldn’t care less For the danger that exists around you To live like me Means that nothing At all Touches you Any More

This is to live like so many... A little of the rhythm is stiff, but most is good.

The first verse doesn't seem to fit with everything else, IMO. I like the rest though. Vaguely saddening.

I think it fits, cause the title evokes 'how the other half lives', about poor people's existance. But this poem says that people with good economic quality of life have problems too.

OH, I think I get it now! It's show life from both perspectives, and about how they both have their trials (right?).
I stink at poetry. Really I do.
