To My Dear One I Plead
Like Winter’s cold touch laid upon me In the depths of Spring, So grips the ache about my heart To chill the core of my very being.
Come, oh dear one, back to my embrace, To thaw that which has laid its icy claim upon me. Bring your Lover’s touch back upon my flesh To loose the grip about my heart, so again our Love may be.
Oh, my dear, let not past mistakes keep us from out destiny; Two halves of the same whole twined about in life’s complexities. Though the gods themselves have a different decree, Only together may we survive their cruelties.
So please my Love, forgive me just once more. Let this ache be dulled before revealed is the toll it takes. My dearest return before I am brought to my knees; Keep me from surrendering to the chill that grips my very being
