I'm not a poet but I sat myself down today and tried anyway. I didn't get very far. It doesn't rhyme and I do believe I managed to avoid class when my english teacher decided to teach us about stanzas, couplets, and everything else that goes along with them but I still want to share what little I have. Constructive criticism is key and hopefully it will motivate me to finish the poem.
Unedited, Untitled, Unfinished They murmur in hush-hush voices behind closed doors, Simulating a false pretense of confounded concern. Actors performing for their fellow actors, Oblivious to the alarming rate of sideline casualties.

Sounds a little like Edgar Allen Poe...except it doesn't rhyme, but that's okay! It's free-verse! It sounds really intelligent though! I look forward to hearing more!

And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride, In the sepulchre there by the sea, In her tomb by the side of the sea.
Poe was brilliant, just brilliant. Annabel Lee remains my favorite of his works and I've seriously read nearly all of them. He's lucky to have felt such love even if it was taken away.
As for my poetic attempt, ladskfjsdkfhjdhgksj!!! Yeah, that about sums it up.
