kk… ill do both… and i'll start it
Jake climbed out of the car, and looked round. he didn't appear to be very impressed with the building. he had after all attened the school for the entirity of his school carrer. he was used to it's massive scale. what was more was that he lived in the place for the majority of the year- only coming hom for major holidays.
He sighed heavily, and bent down to grab his suit cases. he walked away from the car without looking back. his brother had broken his leg, and was currently having the caste removed. as a result, he wouldn't get to skchool till the next day. his sister was already at collage, and his mother didn't like coming to the school, and his father was working. so their hired driver had come to drop him off instead.
much to jake's annoyance. he didn't get on with the driver at all- so it had been uncomfortable all the way there.
he hitched one bag over his shoulder, and dragged the other behind him as he walked towards the school, smiling and nodding occasionally to people he saw and recognised.
'another school year,' he thought, 'god i hope it's more interesting than last year…'
"MAAAA!" complained Cali, "I gotta gooooo!" she was stuffing her toast in her mouth and trying to pull on her converse at the same time. which seemed to be very amusing to her little brother, Ohio. He clapped and gurgled from his place on the sofa in the living room.
"MAAAAAA!" she screamed again, "I have to go! Dally'll drop me off- come down here!"
"Coming sweetie!" he mother replied, sounding tired and sad. she always sounded sad recently. but cali didn't have time to deal with that just then. she was about to start her eleventh school- she needed to focus on getting there.
Dally, her eighteen year old brother walked in and started laughing along with Ohio.
"Shurrup…" complained Cali, bending over to do up her shoelaces.
"You're bags are in the car, Cal," grinned Dallas, stifling his laughter, "we need to get going soon."
"I need to say bye to ma."
"I'm here," came the small soft voice of their mother.
Cali looked up at her and smiled. She came up (limping slightly from her half done up laces) and put her arms round her small mother. "you take care of yourself, ma," she whispered, kissing her cheek, "and make sure Dally stays out of trouble."
"Ok honey… I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you to. Tell dad I say hi."
She left her mother and ran other to her baby brother instead and kissed his forehead. "you look after ma ok lil man?" he gurgled importantly and blew a spit bubble. "you're exactly like dally," she complained, kissing him again.
she ran out of the house and climbed into the car.
"CALI!" yelled her mother, "CALI! wait. i need to give you something."
she paused out side the car and looked at her on coming mother.
her mother pressed something into her hand and kissed her forehead. "for good luck."
"thank you, ma," she replied, squeesing her hand, then got in the car.
dally started up the engine.
"ready for boarding school," he said, sounding almost evil.
"ready as i'll ever be," she sighed, squeesing the necklace her mother hand given her. "lets go before i change my mind."
he reved the engine and back out of the drive way and sped off down the street. cali opened her hand to look at the neck lace. it was the baby ring her father had given to her when she was born, on a silver chain. she smiled to herself and put the necklace on.
'i'm gonna need all the luck i can get…' she thought, almost worriedly, wrapping her hand around the ring for comfort.
ok ppl- ur turn
