www.thefreedictionary.com/museFor writers and other artists, a muse is essentially a source of inspiration. Many of us personify our inspiration in a muse (and crazy people like me give them personalities), and our work is credited to them, for without them we could not create.

Well, her on-going diary is posted in the fiction section (though she keeps telling me to move it to the nonfiction section ) if you want to read it. My muse in particular is very lazy, and because she thinks I'm a hopeless case, she tends to do self-centered things like run away with her boyfriend to Jamaica for six months. Oh, and she's extremely mischievous; she's the main reason the guild basement is so dangerous.

Mine is Crystal, a tan, rather large, hamster who hides under my bed, playing with my cat. She thinks very little of me and my abilities (or lack thereof, as she would say), and thinks that she herself is the best thing that's happened since running water. Apparently I am very lucky to have her as my own personal muse, but it doesn't seem that way. Especially since she hates me, ever since I nearly suffocated her and called her Pookie (Hey, I was FIVE! Gimme a break!).

My muse is half cat and half human. She can transform to full cat, but not full human. Her name is Bluestar (it used to be Twilight but she changed it to Red Arrow, then Sparkle then finally Bluestar. for now at least) and she's one adventerous muse. She accidently cut me, and ever since she's been good with the story ideas, even if I never finish the story

My muse's name is Eioko. She looks alot like the girl in my sig except she has pale stripes on her skin. She loves the song Ai No Senshi and she always bugs me to make her a charrie in my stories. She's VERY hyper when given sugar and likes to tease my charries espicially Ket. But she helps me come up with story ideas.

Is it just me being totally uncreative, or is it just everyone else?
I don't have a muse, and I wouldn't even have enough motivation to kid myself my muse was real!
It would be like...
I need an idea for a story.
Muse: Ok
Me: Well?
Muse: Don't kid yourself... you're having conversations with your mind again, you retard. Now shut up and go away!

A muse tends to develop as a writers' personal view of the way the Plot speaks to them, in my metafictiony opinion. Obviously some people have them more as a fully developed character or imaginary friend than others. Mine appears in almost true form as 'Li' in this story: www.fictionpress.com/read.php?storyid=2172220.
