MAJOR BOOK SEVEN SPOILERS BELOW!!! I just finished reading the last book. . . It took me about thirteen hours, including a few very short bathroom and food breaks (I burned my tongue gobbling down a bowl of soup in less than like two minutes ) but not, of course, including the eight or so hours when I was sleeping (I only got in like four hours of reading last night because I couldn't keep my eyes open after the long morning and afternoon I'd had in Texas). Anyway, some things were predicted (I was elated to find that Neville didn't die and did end up becoming a Hogwarts professor as I'd always hoped ;D ) and there were of course a few surprises. As for Snape? We SO told you so! ;D I tried really hard not to cry for Dobby and Fred and Snape and Lupin and Tonks, but of course I didn't succeed. . . I actually managed to hold off my tears for Harry because my gut just knew that Rowling had something else in store for him, even though my predictions before reading DH had been that he would die. . . The pages before Voldemort tried to kill him just talked far too much about death or something, I dunno. . . I just sensed it wasn't over for him. . . Anyway, there's SO much to talk about, but I don't want to steal the spotlight from anybody else who's got comments. ;D

COSINE RULES!!!!!!!!! I only cried when Harry used the Resurrection Stone to see his parents, Sirius and Lupin (I'm so happy that Sirius returned in some form). And may I just add - poor Hedwig! What did she ever do?!

Yeah, I dont think anyone guessed that Hedwig would die, it was really sad. I'm so glad that Bellatrix died! That scene was pretty freaking fabulous^^

Ah, 'The Battle Of Hogwarts' - it was always going to end there, wasn't it? Poor Fred - what will George do without him?!

Oh my gosh, Hedwig's death was so random. I read it, and I was like, "Er, what?" But I did cry for Fred; he was so cool. But I guess I sort of see why it had to happen. . . Sort of. I was SO rooting for Neville to get revenge on Bellatrix, though. . . I'm glad she's dead, but I think he should have gotten to have to payback on her for what she did to his parents. . . He still got a pretty cool part in the book, but I just don't see him having quite enough emotional closure this way. . .

Neville wouldn't have killed her. He's not like that. As long as she's dead, he's got closure - my opinion.

The last book was great! You could feel the action and the emotions like they were firsthand experiences. Just a shame that it's already the last. And one question..... HOW THE HELL DID NEVILLE GET THE SWORD?!

Because he's a real Gryffindor - true Gryffindors can pull the sword from that hat, like Dumbledore said waaaaaaaaaaaaay back. I guess it works no matter where the sword is.

Yeah, I knew Neville never would have killed her, but he didn't even try for any sort of revenge that we saw. At least a few insults and tears would have probably sufficed.
I feel like screaming I TOLD YOU SO! ;D

Well, AJ, the Horcrux thing is another part of the I TOLD YOU SO-ness of it all.
For Hedwig? Not for Fred?!

lol, I ruled out the idea of harry being a horcrux a long time ago, on account of it being painfully obvious. I guess I lose^^
