Yeah, it would have been rather pathetic.

Really? (I was gonna watch it once, but that was the week my big sis got the fourth season of gilmore girls, that was bad timing on my part!)

I did like the film. It's such a good drama story, and creepy too. I like what was said about how people can empathize with the Phantom because he was shunned. I have not seen it on stage, and recently bought the book to read in the near future.
However, I must silently diss all the crazy Mr. Butler fangirls. I don't like that type (of girl). Ash, if you could explain it, please do.
Being shadowy and dark and in love is kinda appealing. But Erik is so obsessed with Christine.
*not sure what to say*

I'm one of the tame GB fangirls. I don't fully understand them.

Yeah. I'm his fan, but I don't go out of my way to talk about him or find him or something. Some girls are different - they talk non-stop about him with other girls just like them, they meet up to have Gerry-related discussions while eating biscuits together, they basically go out of their way.

I don't see why Gerard Butler has so many fans...He isn't THAT good of an actor, and he isn't THAT handsome...I know I'll probably envoke the wrath of Ash for this but, Gerard Butler sucks.

Not really...He played a greek soldier in 300, and spoke with a scottish accent the entire time...

Well, the Greeks didn't speak English, so you could rag on him no matter what accent he used.

touche...but that can be explained as they are translating the story into english. But there is no way that Leonitis (sp?) should have a scottish accent
