Tom Hanks is simply amazing.
This is a movie about a man who gets stuck in a complicated situation in an airport and so cannot legally go back home, nor enter America. He lives at the airport for several weeks. This is the story of him relating to the people around him. The message that it portrays has put me into a very reflective mood (I'm weird that way). I highly suggest it, good for family, not good if you're looking for action. If you liked movies like Pay it Forward or Forrest Gump, then you'll love this movie.

Gil, our tastes in movies must be quite similar, because I love all of those movies, Pay It Forward in particular. I'd like anything with Haley Joel Osment in it; he's got such a talent for acting, and so young.

I've seen a lot of this film (it was on TV once, but I had to leave) and loved it. Hanks RULES!

Thank you Fally Hallie for clarifying that. I was wondering if I'd changed my name without asking myself for permission. (Somebody has read to much Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy .)

My bad. I coulda sworn I saw Gil's name there.
Anyways ... I wouldn't say that Pay It Forward is in the same vein as The Terminal. I think Pay It Forward is heavier tonewise, and deeper, and if you like that movie then I'd recommend ... Fried Green Tomatoes (Tawanda!). The Terminal has more in common with As Good As It Gets in my opinion.
