Fairly interesting movie, but quite confusing.
It's basically the old story of a peasant boy loving a rich girl, but how he attempts to get the girl is fascinating. Mostly a romance, there is a lot of mystery (and if you try to guess at what's going on you'll probably be wrong) and a small bit of action. I give it 6 out of 10 stars.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, but when I went to watch it a second time, it wasn't as good. With the surprise ruined it just wasn't much of a movie. I honestly came out of it after the second viewing feeling sorry for the prince and the poor fellow that was forced to admit to killing the Countess and went to prison for it.
However, that first time, it was good, though the ending was a bit jumbled. I felt like there should have been more clues as to what was going on. The director successful fooled the audience into thinking that some real magic might be going on, if that was what he intended, but then to find out that it wasn't made it come off strangely for me.
