I'm aware that this is way overdue, but I'm not around that often. Loved. It. !!!. Not everyone will agree, but I thought it was brilliant. Burton at his best. Singing and gore - who would've thought that would be so sweet? ;D

I loved it. Burton-Depp movies are always good.
Meat pies, anyone?

Well, does one really need to mention Mr. Depp? Lol, he's just always there, so there's no need. ;D
They've done six movies together now - I've seen three, and they've all been brilliant. Never really doubted it with this one. And I'll take a meat pie. ;D

Well Nighmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice were both Tim Burton movies and Depp wasn't in either of 'em.
And was it true that the white highlight in Todd's hair was Depp's idea? I heard that Burton was just going to make it black and Johnny was all, "Wouldn't it look cool if there was a white streak there?"

True enough.
I wouldn't be surprised, considering all that he did to Jack Sparrow.

What did he do to Jack?

Based him on a cross between a rock star and a cartoon character, for a start. All the jewellery and stuff in his hair was his idea, plus the accent.

I'm glad they gave him an accent. Most pirates were from the Brittish isles anyway, at least the good ones were.

He's good at British accents anyway - he does the same one for Sweeney and Jack, but he's more from East London as Fred Abberline ('From Hell'), and was Irish for Roux ('Chocolat'), and Scottish for James Barrie ('Finding Neverland'). The man's a legend, and Sweeney is among his best roles. Plus the singing . . . ;D

Yeah. I mean... I can do a decent British accent, and I love doing Irish accents, but Johnny is a genius!
(Course... I probably have an accent of my own and not know it.)

Either he has a fantastic dialect coach or he seriously just picks things up quickly. And of course you have an accent, everyone does.

Do people who use sign language have accents? Like, are there different hand gestures for certain people? Do people from say, Mexico, shake their fingers differently from people in Japan?

Can't say I've ever thought about it. Maybe, considering that some hand gestures that mean one thing in one country mean a completely different thing elsewhere, but I doubt that there's much of a difference between countries.

I can just do the alphabet in sign language, and so far everyone else does it the same way I do.
