Mine is "On My Mind" by Ferry Corsten.
Emotionally speaking, this is my favorite song at the moment because it got me thinking. What it made me think about, im not sure. But it also blended very well into the night and right now im in my basement with all the lights off besides the computer monitor, a few night lights, and the blue lights from my speakers. I guess it got me thinking of the past 4 years i had in high school and all the people im going to be leaving behind. The past 4 years have been "On My Mind" right now. This song helped me to relate, and that is why it's one of my favorites right now.
Technically speaking, i really enjoy the atmosphere of the song. It's a microhouse song with soft melodies and light lyrics with the sweet voice of Denise Stahlie.

It's so funny you've named this thread favorite song "of the moment", because my favorite song changes almost daily. I've always wanted to make a thread like this.
My favorite song of the moment is Never Alone by BarlowGirl. The lead singer has got such a beautiful voice, and it suprised me that a Christian group could rock so hard (well, there's Switchfoot, but their songs haven't grown on me as much as this one has). In fact, if I hadn't have looked them up on the internet after hearing this song on Yahoo Music, I would have never known they were Christian at all, though the lyrics were a bit suspect.
The song starts of with the soft, chrystalline voice of the lead singer on her own, that lulls you into that calm that rock songs will sometimes do at the start just before the guitars kick in, like this one does. Her pretty voice against the guitars is something to hear. And the song's message is a good one, about how even though when it doesn't feel like it, God is always watching (though its said a lot more subtly in the song). I highly recommend it.

"Bedshaped" by Keane is my current favorite, I believe.
It's a nice mellow song with pretty good harmony, and it's nice to sing along to when I'm in a sleepier mood like right now. Keane is a relaxing band without being a total snoozefest.

I often have that problem with some of my favorite music. Like, sometimes I get really into them, but sometimes they just make me want to nod off. Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Damien Rice, James Blunt - I love them, but sometimes I just can't keep my eyes open.
Keane is ok, I guess, and I've never heard that song you just mentioned, but the song I do like, Somewhere Only We Know, was never one of my favorites. And I can't really relate to what they're singing about.

My favorites right now are "Rescue" by Krystal Meyers, "Anthem" by Superchic[k], "Alone" by Sanctus Real, and "Beauty From Pain" by Superchic[k]... All of them just seem to be hitting home right now. They've got great lyrics, great messages and they get stuck in my head continually.

I've only heard "We Live" by Superchic[k]. They're pretty good. They're also Christian musicians, I believe?

Currently either 'Miss Murder' or 'The Leaving Song', both by AFI. Or perhaps still 'I Dare You' by Shinedown...or 'Animal I Have Become' by Three Days Grace...
Argh! Too many songs!
'Miss Murder' because I LOVE the lyrics, and the leader singer's voice. Sometimes you just love a song because of the way it's sung, and this song is a prime example. I just love it, lol.
'The Leaving Song' because of its depressing atmosphere and soft vocals, despite the band being quite heavy at times. Some rock bands can't get soft no matter how hard they try, but AFI apparently can, somewhat. I have been getting into them a lot lately. Good stuff.
'I Dare You'...Well, what can I say? It's inspiring, really.
'Animal I have Become' because again, of the whole 'you can't save me' atmosphere. Lovely song.
So, quite shallow reasons for all the songs. Sorry. I'm a shallow person, I suppose.

favourite song for the moment i guess is 'Hello Tomorrow' by Zebra Head. surprsingly it's about a break up and this guy gettin over it, taking it day by day. but it's got a really… i dunno how to explain it, it's one of my favourite feel good songs even tho the meaning isn't the genre for that form of song. i guess it's the sort of hopeful songs, so that can keep you're spirits up. it's a mix of rock rap and just ordinary rock. the lead singer's voice isn't all that usual, his voice is a sort of mix of talking-in-tune and singing. the beat behind it is very up-beat and u just have to head bang along to it. as i sed- it's just a feel good song for me

I blame/thank Steven for this one - 'Defying Gravity' from Wicked. Can't get it out of my head - not that I'm complaining, but I don't quite know the words yet, so that's a little annoying.

My favorite song right now is Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull. This song is structured like a classical piece of music, but it has lots of acoustic/electric guitar and piano. Also, the singer's voice is very edgy, very different than others.

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
It is the most strangely romantic songs I've ever heard, and everytime I hear it I almost want to cry. The lyrics are so deep, and his voice is so lucious. Like I could fall into it.
