I like music that is easy to listen to, simple and melodic. It's nice when they sing about something I care about, but mostly I just care that the song makes me feel warm and fuzzy (yeah, yeah, sue me). Can you suggest any artists that you think I'd like? Here are some of my favorites if it'll help:
Plain White T's, Teddy Geiger, Taylor Swift, Jack Johnson, KT Tunstall, David Ford, Jason Mraz, Bjork.

You'd probably like The Shins, particularly their first two albums "Oh Inverted World" and "Chutes Too Narrow". Their latest, "Wincing The Night Away" is a little more experimental, but its still pretty good. Travis is pretty good I'd recommend "The Man Who". "The Invisible Band" is pretty good too, and a little more upbeat if that's what you're looking for. The Elected is amazing. I'm not sure if they'd be what you're looking for, but they're one of my all-time favorite bands. www.myspace.com/theelectedAlso you might like Belle and Sebastian. I'm not the biggest fan of them, but they make some good music that seems to fit what you're looking for. -P.A.

I reckon you'd like The Feeling, Snow Patrol, The Fratellis, Razorlight, Katie Melua . . . people like that.

The Fratellis are amazing. Also, MIKA. For GOD'S SAKE, whenever I tell people to listen to him, they're like, pshft, it's probably another one of your weird indie bands that nobody likes but you. But then I force it on them && they like it. So.
Don't make me force it on you.
Also, some amazing ones are definitely Joey Eppard (hard to find but way worth it), Dispatch (AMAZING BEYOND WORDS), Bright Eyes (a little heavy sometimes, but in a completely amazing way), The Format, The Hold Steady, Feist, Novi Split, etc. If you like these and want some more, for sure message me or something, because I've got tons more.

I've taken some of your suggestions, and have found that Bright Eyes just isn't for me, and neither is Belle and Sebastian. I sort of like Snow Patrol, but sometimes they just make me exhausted. I do like The Shins and Travis, thank you paranoidandroid! and I already love Mika, The Fratellis, The Feeling and of course Feist. I'll try to look up more of your suggestions Derek Rain and Ash, and thank you all so much.
Oh, and Ed .... WTH???

Ha ha, no, Bright Eyes really isn't for everyone. It's like the Beatles, where you love or hate, you know?

Yeah, well, I love the Beatles.
I really, really, really, really, really like Feist! Know any artists in a similar vein?

Happens. I loathe the Plain White Tees and Jack Johnson, so...
Eh. Hmm. Try Ben Lee. And then Lazlo Bane, but only if you like Ben Lee.

I will. Perhaps you should try The Vines.

Have. Don't hate. Don't love. Eh. They didn't really catch me. I'll go give them another chance.
