me mercy and eband are making a game and we need to make some (generals Sergent's etc) world war 1 characters like they were in the first world war

Ok, so are you looking for historical figures or people who simply could have been there and would act like they were there? Historical fiction or any media requires lots of research. Get to know the era, but also think about modern people--people have the same emotions in war today as they did in the 1910s. Find out about soldiers in today's war venture and how they feel--though remember how the political situations are different.

Well you can always do the cliche of a character: The tough guy, who eventually finds out the being tough isnt everything, the regular guy who everyone knows, or that small guy no one likes I guess, but that just becomes a little bland, so I would follow Cy Skywalker and study the era, so that you can develop your own types of charaters.

Find out about soldiers in today's war venture and how they feel--though remember how the political situations are different. skywalker board is right. you have to do some research. you can't just make a character or even a story for that matter if you won't do any research. research is essential to one's work.. and what happened before, the emotions, setting, and etc. are different from today.
