Anyone read this series? The newest has just been released. It's good YA modern fantasy, very unique, humorous at times, with cool characters and technology.

I loved the series, Eoin Colfer is a good writer. But some of his other books are kind of childish. Artemis Fowl (the first one) was good, the Arctic one was ok, the Eternity code was good, I hated the Opal deception, and havent read the newest one.

I've read all but the first and the new one. The code was my first one, and I've tried to read them all, just haven;t seen the first one or the new one in yet at my library(sp?).

Eoin Colfer is one of the first authors I ever remember taking a paticular great liking to. When I was younger, and still now, I loved his writing style and have read to date Artemis Fowl, the Arctic Incident, The Eternity Code and The Opal Deception. If memory serves, which it doesn't really, The Arctic Incident was the best. I remember reading the first in the series years ago, when it was exclusive to WHSmiths. Why - I don't really know, but at the time it was. The Supernaturalists was alos very godd but my favourite book from Mr. Colfer must be The Wish List, which was actually written before his more well-known work. I went to a signing a few years back with my school and I brought I think it was five or six books for the guy to sign. He draws this odd tree thing underneath his signature, I'm not quite sure what it means but there you are. Anyway, I must pick up that new one sometime. . .
