I see where he is comming from. No sort of emotion existed until man was brought forth. So all emotions and feelings were created essentially by man. So man created truth. So truth is defined by what a man, or men believes to be right without reasonable doubt.
I also see where your comming from Den. Its a very tricky subject. ;D

I'd say neither of us are wrong. It depends on the person what he/she believes to be the truth. same as religion. though religions say that other religions are wrong...

Your logic here is so fallacious and full of holes that I must keep from laughing for fear of blowing it away. If there is no truth then why can't we do whatever we want? What gives you the right to tell me what to do, or anyone else? If neither of us is wrong, then we're both right. What if I want your girlfriend? Why shouldn't I, say, blackmail you into letting her go so I can have her? (Don't tell me this is an Ad Hominem argument, it's not, and it's the best way I could think of to illustrate my point. But please, PLEASE don't take it personally. )

*hugs Eakyra back* I'm not sure if it's passion. I'm only debating well, and proving my points. Because this is an issue worth the time it takes to fully discus it. (What issue exactly we're debating I'm not quite sure, but it rather seems like something important.)

You can do what you want. I don't have the right to TELL you to do anything. I can ask or suggest but it is a conscious decision whether to accept and do as requested or decline. You do not HAVE to follow laws. You do not HAVE to do anything. you CAN want my girlfriend (though I am single atm) and CAN blackmail me (if you have anything on me.... you don't... do you?). and at no point did I say there is no truth. I said "but for the "truth" of many cases in life and society these days, it is an opinion decided upon by man". therefore you are misquoting me.
And I am not taking this personally. Tis rather fun.
And as for logic. A quick test. What is the only logical thing to do with a watch? (not a digital one)

I did not quote you, but here is what I was addressing. What then guides how humans should act? (I've never dated, and when I do I will certainly not steal another guy's gal. No I do not have anything on you. ) How do you decide what actions to take, and what not to take? What is the only logical thing to do with a watch? I'm afraid I don't know.

I disbelieve religion for reasons which I have already mentioned. And 97% of scientists that are part of the National Science Assembly (in the US) agree with me.

John, I'm debating you, not 97% of scientists that are part of the National Science Assembly. If you want to give me points and proofs, do so, but don't just use the popularity argument. The majority of the people on earth believed that the world was flat at one time. The majority of Russians believed at one time that Communism would bring prosperity to their country.

and den, it is common sense, morals and feelings which govern your actions for the majority of the time. Common sense to obey a law perhaps, though you may not agree with it. and yeah it's break it. 'cause then it would be right twice a day and I'm glad you have nothing on me ;D phew... oh and for den, on the suject of popularity arguement which i do not agree on, what is your opinion on the religious (though manly jesuit it has to be said) view of "it is not up to us to understand God's reasoning." Generally applied to times of natural disaster when it is usually the innocent that are hurt
